Speargun Operation

1. PRE-LOADING BEFORE THE DIVE

Before entering the water, the two main power bands must be preloaded onto the gun:

  • Stretch both main rubbers from the middle of the speargun all the way to the rear stainless steel hooks near the butt of the gun.
  • When loading them, slightly rotate the rubbers outwards, so the pulleys are positioned nicely parallel to the speargun
  • These hooks are preload anchors — they hold the bands in place without fully stretching them yet.
  • Do not engage the shooting line at this stage.
  • The secondary rubber (lower band) remains unloaded.

Now the gun is safely prepped and ready to be armed underwater.

2. UNDERWATER LOADING

Once submerged and ready to begin your dive:

Step 1: Load the Main Bands

  • Grab the drive line at the muzzle — this is the cord connected to the pulley system underneath the speargun.
  • While bracing the gun against your chest, pull the line backwards until you can hook it into the last sharkfin notch on the shaft.
  • This motion fully tensions the two main rubber bands and provides the main shooting power.

Step 2: Load the Secondary Band

  • Reach forward and grab the secondary rubber band (lower one).
  • Pull it straight back and secure it into the lower rear hook beneath the gun.
  • Now both rubber bands are engaged — the gun is fully loaded and ready for the shot.

Always perform underwater loading calmly and deliberately. Never load or fire the gun above water.

3. FIRING & RELOADING CYCLE

Step 1: Aiming & Firing

  • Use the clean open-track design to align your shot.
  • Hold the gun firmly by the ergonomic biodynamic handle.
  • Make sure the PowerMod is enabled/disabled.
  • When your target is in range, press the trigger smoothly to fire the shaft.
  • The spearshaft will release cleanly, propelled by the loaded bands, line will follow and if you spear a big fish, make sure to loosen the drag on the reel, to allow the fish to take more line.

Step 2: Retrieve the Shaft

  • Follow the shooting line to recover the shaft.
  • Do not use the shaft as a lever if it’s stuck in rocks — this may damage the tail or sharkfins.
  • If necessary, use both hands to gently wiggle and pull it free.

Step 3: Reload the Shaft

  • Slide the shaft backwards into the open track, ensuring the shooting line stays above the shaft, not underneath.
  • Push it firmly into the trigger mechanism until you hear a distinct click.
  • Lightly tug the shaft backward to confirm it’s locked in place.

Step 4: Re-rig the Shooting Line

  • Begin at the trigger release and pull the line with gentle tension.
  • Route it through the line guides near the muzzle — one on each side of the spear (see picture 5).
  • Continue back to the trigger release lever, loop around, and go back to the muzzle (see picture 6).
  • Secure the final loop back through the last line guide and into the reel or reel clip (see picture 7).

The line should be neatly tensioned and keep the shaft snugly in place.

Step 5: Resetting the Bands

  • Remove the previously fired secondary rubber from the lower rear hook. Just flick it off with your fingers (Picture 8).
  • Now repeat the Underwater Loading steps:Pull and hook the drive line to the rear sharkfin on the shaft. Then, re-tension the secondary band onto its lower hook.

Your gun is now fully reloaded and ready for the next dive or shot.

4. LOADING WITH LOAD ASSIST

The Load Assist system in pair with Power Mod, is an integrated mechanism that helps reduce the force required to load the gun. It also allows switching between full and reduced power depending on your needs.

Step 1: Activate Load Assist

  • Locate the Power Mod switch on the underside of the front of the gun.
  • Flip the switch upward using your finger until the mechanical pin pops out — this means Load Assist is now active.

Step 2: Load in Two Stages

1. Load to Assist Pin

  • Brace the gun on your chest.
  • Pull the main drive line half way, until the line with pulleys underneath the speargun, gets past the load assist pin.
  • This preloads part of the band tension.

2. Final Loading

  • Reposition your grip.
  • Now pull the line again from the assist pin to the last sharkfin notch on the shaft.
  • Your main bands are now fully tensioned, with much less effort in two simple stages.

Step 3: Load the Secondary Band

  • As with standard loading, pull the lower band straight back and hook it onto the lower rear rubber hook.
